The shape of the mechanical attenuator is just like the fiber adaptor. It can be applied in traditional optical network, optical testing project, FTTx construction and etc which the optical power may be over the limit of the equipment. Female to male mechanical attenuator is assembled with a fixed type connector,so it can only be connected with one patchcord. It can be used in CATV, LAN, WAN, and telecommunications applications.
